An employee receives approximately 2.08 days of vacation for each month worked. On an annual basis, this makes a total of 25 days, or 5 weeks of vacation. <\/p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How much FeriePenge am I due? <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>FeriePenge is charged in the amount of <strong>12,5%<\/strong> On gross pay (total taxable income) we are talking here about people employed at an hourly rate. The current amount of accumulated vacation funds is best checked on the last pay slip (Danish L\u00f8nseddel). If you have school-age children, your employer must pay special attention if you want to spend your vacation during the summer school vacations. Remember that the employer ultimately decides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your employer has a say in when you can take your vacation, you need to know at least three months before the start of your so-called main vacation (Denmark's HovedFerie 3 weeks from May 1 to September 30) and at least a month before the rest of your vacation begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An exception to the timing of notifications to the employer as well as the rescheduling of your leave, for example, is a significant and unforeseen circumstance in the company's operations.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some companies also have fixed summer vacation dates during which the workplace is closed.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who are on unemployment benefits or dagpenge are also entitled to leave.<br><\/p><br>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When can I go to ulrop ?  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The mentioned 12.5 % of gross salary from January 1 to December 31 of a given calendar year is set aside for vacation. This is called a vesting year (Danish optjenings\u00e5ret) . You can go on vacation from May 1 to April 30. This is called a vacation year (Danish ferie\u00e5ret) . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>:  Remember that as of September 1, 2020, the vacation law is changing. Before the new vacation law comes into effect, the so-called \"transitional provisions\" apply. This means that the vacation money set aside in the period from January 1, 2019. - to August 31, 2019 can be used for vacation in the period from May 1, 2020. Through August 31, 2020.
