But before you set out to conquer the Danish labor market, you need to prepare well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing spoils the first days in a new country like missing important documents. Here's <strong>list of things you should take<\/strong>, to avoid stress and problems upon arrival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seemingly everyone knows but not everyone remembers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. passport or identity card - your primary document<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>No trip without a valid <strong>passport or identity card<\/strong>! - so obvious...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are an EU citizen, you can enter Denmark <strong>visa-free<\/strong>, but identity document is an absolute must .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What to check before you leave?<\/strong><br>\u2714 Validity of proof\/passport <em>(It should be valid at least until the day of return to Poland),<\/em><br>\u2714 Is not damaged - better to avoid problems at the border.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong> 2. employment contract or proof of employment<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you already have a job in Denmark, <strong>be sure to bring a copy of the contract<\/strong>, electronic version will also suffice, for example, in the form of an email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why is this important?<\/strong><br>\u2714 Is required to obtain <strong>CPR number<\/strong> (<em>Danish identification number<\/em>),<br>\u2714 It will come in handy at the bank, offices and for renting an apartment,<br>\u2714 Facilitates verification of the legality of employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 If you are leaving in the dark, take the <strong>CV and references<\/strong> - may come in handy in your job search!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)<\/strong> \ud83c\udfe5<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you get full Danish health insurance, it's a good idea to have a <strong>EHIC<\/strong> - European Health Insurance Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why is it worth having it?<\/strong><br>\u2714 Gives access to basic emergency medical care,<br>\u2714 You may need it in the first weeks of your stay before you get Danish insurance,<br>\u2714 It can be made out <strong>for free in the NHF<\/strong> (All you need to do is submit an application).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f Remember: the EHIC does not cover all costs, so consider additional private insurance for the first few weeks of your stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. marriage certificate and birth certificate of children (if you are leaving with your family)<\/strong> \ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udc67<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are moving to Denmark with your family, <strong>it's a good idea to bring your marriage certificate and your children's birth certificates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Useful for:<\/strong><br>\u2714 Residence registration,<br>\u2714 Obtain a CPR number for the family,<br>\u2714 Arrangements for family benefits in Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f <strong>Attention!<\/strong> Danish offices often require <strong>sworn translation of documents into English or Danish<\/strong> -
