The percentage of women seeking shelter and assistance in women's crisis centers (known as krisecentre) increased again last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data released today by Statistics Denmark, a total of 3,000 women and 2,300 children will be housed in women's crisis centers in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This represents an increase of 12 percent from 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vast majority of women stayed in the centers for more than one day, and about 36 percent stayed in the centers temporarily from 31 to 119 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through us you will meet other women who are also at the stage of creating a new life, you will meet people who are ready to help and guide you on both sensitive and practical issues so that you and your family arrive safely and move on in life. When you're ready, we'll be ready.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In short, the Krisecenter is a temporary shelter for women if a woman has been subjected to violence (such as physical, psychological, sexual, economic, material, or stalking), threats of violence, or a similar crisis in her family or cohabitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are no rules on how long you can stay in the shelter, but most women stay between two and six months<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A safe place<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krisecenter provides a high level of security for the women and children staying there. Therefore, it is important to protect yourself and others, do not tell others where you are going when you move there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much does it cost to stay in <\/strong>krisecenter<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you live in a krisecenter, your municipality may charge a small amount per person per day depending on your expenses, but you can count on partial or full fee waivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
