What is NemKonto ?
NemKonto is a designated bank account to which Danish state institutions transfer money due. Examples of such remittances include FeriePenge payments, tax overpayments or family benefit payments.
Who needs a NemKonto?
Every person who resides in Denmark permanently or temporarily must have a NemKonto.
The designated account can be either a Danish account or a foreign account, such as a Polish account. If you don't have your own account, you can designate a trusted account of another person.
Activation of nem account takes a maximum of 3 weeks.
Attention: If you are the owner of a Danish account, it usually automatically becomes a Nemkont when you set it up so you don't have to do anything else.
Cost of service 300 kr
If you do not have a NemID (Danish electronic signature) then you need one:
- photo/scan of a valid ID card or passport,
- IBAN bank account number, swift, bank name and address, currency in which the account is established,
If you have NemID then only the account number as listed above.
