What is FeriePenge ?
Feriepenge is a.k.a. vacation pay, which every person working legally in Denmark is entitled to. An employee receives approximately 2.08 days of vacation for each month worked. On an annual basis, this makes a total of 25 days, or 5 weeks of vacation. For more detailed information about FeriePenge, see our article here: LINK
When can FeriePenge be paid and for what period ?
In 2020, the new vacation law went into effect. The legislature also established a time when money collected during the old rules and the so-called transition period can be selected,

Attention:If you are returning to the country permanently it is possible to receive a FeriePenge payment earlier than the expected dates but you must apply for it up to 6 months after leaving Denmark.
Cost of service with access to NemID 150 kr without access to NemId 300 kr
Required documents
- if you do not have a NemID, you will need a copy of the employment contract to which the vacation payments relate,
- The first day of vacation, the number of days of vacation,
- if the FeriePenge payment is related to leaving the Danish labor market, we will need the date of the last day of work,
